Our available stock changes constantly, so rather than list everything here we would rather hear what you are looking for and tell you what genuinely matches it. Below is a picture of the kinds of property we handle and, more usefully, what you should expect from us at each stage.
What we handle
Residential plots. Land in developing corridors for buyers who want to hold and build later, and land in serviced areas for buyers who want to start construction now. Plot sizes and title type vary by estate, and we will tell you both before you visit.
Buy-and-build estate plots. Sold with a survey plan, a deed and often a payment plan, usually with a requirement to begin construction within a stated period.
Completed homes and apartments. Houses, duplexes and flats, including properties in gated estates.
Farmland. Agricultural land by the hectare, including plots offered with a management arrangement.
Commercial and mixed-use land. Road-frontage plots suitable for shops, workshops or storage, particularly in the commercial cities.
Where
Most of our activity sits in Lagos and the Ogun corridor along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, the South East around Enugu, Owerri, Ngor Okpala, Awka and Aba, the Delta axis around Asaba, farmland in Oyo, and the Federal Capital Territory.
Each of those markets behaves differently. If you want to understand a particular one before you look at any specific property, our location guides and land buying guides go through them state by state.
What we will tell you about any property
Before you visit, and certainly before you pay, you should know all of this. Ask us for it in writing:
- The exact location, down to the local government area and nearest landmark
- The plot size in square metres, not just “a plot”
- What title is on offer, and what the route to a state title is
- Whether the land is free of government acquisition, and the gazette reference if it is excised
- The complete cost, including survey, deed, development levy, agency fee and registration
- The payment terms, and what happens if you need to stop paying
- Any building deadline that applies
- What the plot needs physically: filling, fencing, borehole depth in that area
If we cannot answer one of those for a particular property, we will say so rather than guess.
How the process works
- Tell us what you want. Area, property type, budget, timeline, and whether you are in Nigeria or abroad.
- We send you matching options with the details above.
- You inspect. In person, or through somebody you nominate. Walk the beacons.
- You verify. Your own lawyer runs a search at the state land registry and a charting search. This happens before money moves.
- You pay by bank transfer into a company account, with a receipt that states your plot number.
- Documentation. Deed of assignment, then consent, stamping and registration.
- Take possession. Clear it, fence it, put your name on a signboard.
That order matters more than anything else on this page. Our complete guide to buying land in Nigeria explains why each step is there.
